January Recap at Country Court

We’ve had a great January here at Country Court! This month has allowed all of us to wind down from our very exciting Christmas activities in December, But winding down doesn’t mean we’re having less fun! We’ve had a wonderful lineup of events these past few weeks! Here’s what we’ve been up to:

We’ve continued our Chef’s Corners every Friday this month, with new tasty recipes like fried sausage and cabbage, and banana oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. We’re not afraid to mix it up with sweet and savory dishes, which is why this activity ranks on our residents’ favorites list: there’s something for everyone! Chef’s Corner engages those with a passion for cooking and learning!

Speaking of yummy food, we love taking lunch outings at least once a month. It’s a great way to get out and about in the community and socialize with others in our residency. This January, we enjoyed some ooey, gooey, cheesy pizza from Donato’s on Lexington Avenue. Wonder where we’re going next; it’s hard to top pizza!

Most recently, we made some delicious treats for preschoolers at the Faith Lutheran preschool! We always try to include activities in our monthly calendar that involve giving back to the community; it gives our residents a great sense of accomplishment and agency and puts smiles on the faces of those we give to as well. It’s a win-win for everyone!

In addition to our rehabilitation programs, we always try to have some fun at our skilled senior nursing facility. All those fun events can be found on our website! Our activities calendar gets updated monthly, so be sure to check back in February for more information, and follow us on Facebook for timely announcements. That’s all for now; thanks for reading!
