Baking Christmas Cookies

1 minute estimated reading time

It’s the day before Christmas, and Santa is coming down the chimney. He climbs down and walks around to drop off the presents. After that, he wanders into the kitchen, where he finds himself at a loss. “No Christmas Cookies,” he says. “This is outrageous!” Congrats, you just made Santa angry. Baking cookies for Christmas is one of the more light-hearted Christmas traditions. But it is also one of the most fun and delicious.

You must have all the supplies needed to make the best cookies imaginable. This means gathering the proper cutout designs, rolling pins, baking soda, and all other ingredients and equipment. Next, decide on what type of cookies you want to make. Are you a sugar cookie gal? Maybe a chocolate chip lover? Whatever you choose, you must follow the recipe.

Once the cooking stage is over, it’s time for the fun part. Decorating the cookies is sometimes more enjoyable than eating them. Add various types of icing with different colors and sprinkles to add a dash of flair to the cookies. Use your imagination to create a cool design in the icing, like a smiley face or your name. The possibilities are endless.

At Country Court, we have a yearly special day for our residents to decorate cookies. This year, it is on December 22nd. For further inquiries about the entire day, don’t hesitate to contact us at (740) 397-4125!
