It’s been a great November so far at Country Court! We welcomed fall with fun arts and crafts last month and got spooky for Halloween by painting pumpkins! As we dive deeper into the fall season, our residents must stay happy and healthy. So, we’ll keep the ball rolling with the fun!
That shouldn’t be too difficult a task, as we’re getting closer to a favorite holiday: Thanksgiving!
And boy, do we have a lot to be thankful for! This season’s blessings are overflowing, from delicious, nutritious meals to fun games with friends and caring and supportive staff.
One way our residents are staying in shape before Turkey Day is through our Movers & Shakers program. Residents have the opportunity to meet every week and complete safe exercise routines to get those arms and legs movin’ and groovin’!
Another way we’re staying fit at Country Court is through our hearty meal selection. Our dietary staff members work diligently to provide a variety of healthy options. Residents always have choices like milk to keep their bones strong and healthy or refreshing fruit juices. They’re also offered a heaping of veggies and proteins like sausage and turkey!
Staying social is also an essential part of our health. That’s why this November, we’ve been continuing the community fun with regular board games, bingo, and table games in the Dining Room with our friends!
Another way to boost our residents’ moods is through community outreach! This month, our residents designed and decorated shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. They had a blast giving this year! So far, we’ve filled 8 boxes with toys or school supplies children around the world might need around this time of year, and it’s all thanks to those who donated to make it happen!
We can’t wait for more fun holiday activities to come at Country Court, so check out our upcoming December newsletter to find out what we’ll be up to, or check us out on Twitter and Facebook for photos and more!
